Shad Derby Kick-Off Happy Hour

Please help us to support the Exchange Club and the Shad Bureau.  Attend the event and enjoy some Hooker’s brews!

This is the kickoff event for the Shad Derby 2012. The Exchange Club of Windsor is sponsoring a beer tasting at the Hooker Brewery 16 Tobey Road in Bloomfield on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 6pm. From 10AM to 3PM, the Windsor Junior Woman’s Club will be hosting their Annual “Shop ’til You Drop Event” at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott – 28 Day Hill Road, Windsor CT.

This event will be featuring over 50 vendor/crafters selling everything from children’s items, jewelry, food items, ornaments, totes, artwork, and much more! There will also be over 30 raffle prizes available to win!

Admission is $5.00, and the Hartford/Windsor Marriott restaurant will be open during this event.

Holiday Shopping and Supporting Charities – Sunday Nov 20

The Windsor Junior Women’s Club will be hosting their Annual “Shop ’til You Drop Event,” Sunday, November 20th from 10AM to 3PM at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott, 28 Day Hill Road, Windsor, CT.

This event will be featuring over 50 vendor/crafters selling everything from children’s items, jewelry, food items, ornaments, totes, artwork, and much more! There will also be over 30 raffle prizes available to win! Come and do your holiday shopping early and all for a good cause.

The Hartford/Windsor Marriott restaurant will be open during this event.
Admission is $5.00. Proceeds from this event will help support local charities.

Cocktail for Charity

The Union Street Tavern, in conjunction with the Windsor Junior Woman’s Club, will kick off a new signature cocktail on October 18 at 6:30 pm.  The new signature cocktail, “Junior Juice,” is a refreshing blend of vanilla vodka and pomegranate liqueur with a splash of pineapple juice.

Starting October 18, for every “Junior Juice” that is purchased, The Union Street Tavern will donate $1 to the Windsor Fuel Bank.  Come try the cocktail while raising money for charity.

Parents and students from all grades are invited to attend.  It is never too early to begin considering options for post-secondary educational 0pportunities.  College representatives and WHS counseling staff will be available to answer parent and student questions regarding admission, financial aid, admission testing, application timelines and athletic programs.

Crafting for Charity

The Windsor Junior Woman’s Club will be hosting Crafting for Charity, Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Central Street Antiques, 25 Central Street, Windsor, CT. This event will support local charities while enjoying your favorite hobby. Calling all knitters, scrapbookers, jewelry-makers, crocheters, stampers and quilters to bring an unfinished project to finish.

Registration fee is $15 for half day (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM) or $40.00 for all day (includes lunch). Registration fee includes generous work space, food and beverages, door prizes, goody bags, consultants on-site and more. Early bird special for full day is $35 if you register by Saturday, October 1. Registration at the door begins at 8:30 AM/12:30 PM.
